ILLUSTRATIVE WORK
Merchandise Applications
The following is a sample of some of the work I have done with illustration and a bit of my process. All illustrations were used in some sort of practical design application.
SKULL GRAPHIC
Process Work
I started this project with a thumbnail sketch and then brought it to Clip Studio Paint to sketch it out. I decided I wanted to exaggerate the point of the jaw more and dropped the goatee when I went to inking. From there I did the flat colors, shading, and added some custom typography in Illustrator.
Merchandise Samples
These are some examples as how the graphic could be applied to merch on sites like Redbubble or Society6.
DELAYED GRATIFICATION
Concept & Process
This was a project I worked on with my peer Kyrin Van Heise. We were inspired by the recent trend of videos using the time-displacement effect and decided to create some of our own footage to use as a jumping-off-point for some unconventional design ideas.

These are some of my resulting designs from the project. My goal was to see how far I could push the time-displacement settings in Premiere Pro and inspire something that was interesting but still visually-balanced.
LWTECH PRIDE
Process Work
This was a t-shirt design for the Lake Washington Institute of Technology's Pride Month celebration. Their mascot is a lion so I thought it could be fun to do something with that — especially since groups of lions are called prides.
I started the design by sketching a basic lion and then segmenting it into shapes with contour lines. From there I did a quick test of how the shapes translated without line work. After I felt satisfied with the overall look, I built out the design in grayscale on Illustrator, then made my color selections. The last step was to get the typography to flow with the design.
T-Shirt Sample
The final design was printed on a black shirt and let the colors really pop. These were given out as participation prizes to incentivize online participation during the pandemic.
